La Pièce – The Room is a gorgeous location to tie the knot. With its’ brick walls, wooden pillars, and stunning surroundings, it’s a brides’ dream come true. These two lovely brides enhanced the natural beauty of this location with paper lanterns, intricate drapery, and bright florals.
Here is what Maundy Mitchell said about capturing this gorgeous day:
“Heidi and Paula usually start their story with “Paula was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar…” Only it wasn’t really a cocktail bar, it was Foster’s Boiler Room at the Common Man Inn in Plymouth, NH, and their story has a happier outcome than Human League’s song, “Don’t You Want Me”.
Last year, after ten years together, Heidi and Paula vacationed in Scotland. They visited the beach in Dunoon on the Firth of Clyde. Heidi went down to the shore to collect small rocks. Out of the corner of her eye, Heidi saw Paula walking down the ramp to the beach. Her back was to Paula but she heard Paula say, “Can I ask you something?” It was nearing lunchtime and Heidi thought to herself, “Yes, I would like a drink with lunch,” when Paula said…”Will you marry me?” Heidi turned around and Paula was standing there, holding an engagement ring.
The couple married at La Piece – The Room in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, surrounded by their family and friends.”
