From the couple:
“We met about 3 years ago on an online dating website, Plenty of Fish. Ever since our first date we have been together.
Andrew proposed to Jerry a little over a year ago on New Years Day 2015. We were staying in San Diego for the New Year’s holiday for 5 days. Andrew planned the proposal to be a day long affair but Jerry had no idea. It started off with a surprise room service breakfast prearranged based off of Andrew asking Jerry what he would choose if he ever got room service for breakfast, needless to say Jerry was surprised. Then, we went off to Coronado island after breakfast. Andrew had planned a couple’s massage at the Hotel Del which was an amazing experience and then we stayed at the spa for a few hours just relaxing by the pool. We then had dinner at one of the restaurant’s at Hotel Del. By the time dinner was over it was dark and Andrew had planned for us to have S’mores on the beach with a bonfire so we did that even though it was a little chilly. We then walked along the beach in front of Hotel Del and Andrew kept telling Jerry about how he felt and how much he means to him and then as we got to a spot right by the rocks and the waves were crashing, Andrew got down on one knee and pulled out a ring and proposed! Of course Jerry said Yes! 🙂
We have chosen to have a beach wedding because we love the beach and we love the San Diego area. The beach holds a special place because that is where Andrew proposed. We also used to have many of our dates at the beach. We would just sit on the beach with a blanket and just look out at the ocean and just talk and enjoy each other’s company. We truly love the beach and especially in San Diego.”
